valley: J&K: NIA t investigate cases of recent civilian killings in Valley | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will take over investigation of four cases of recent civilian killings in J&K — that of M L Bindroo, Virendra Paswan, Supinder Kaur and Deepak Chand, and the two non-local labourers killed in Kulgam.
Eleven people, including five Muslims, have been killed by terrorists in the last fortnight. In the latest attack by the terrorists on Sunday, three labourers from Bihar were killed at their rented accommodation in Kulgam.
Meanwhile, the security agencies are on their toes after finding a blog that mentions a strategy to carry out attacks on non-locals in Kashmir.

A senior official said that the NIA found that killers executing ‘lone wolf’ type attacks on non-locals are operating at the behest of their handlers operating from across the border.
It is a well-planned strategy to derail development in the Valley and oppose the government’s plans of extending domicile status to people from outside of the valley.
